The taking over of the Chenhaibay Homestay was our destined fate. You can also say that it happened as a special arrangement by God. Five years ago, the former magazine art editor Cecilia and her mother-in-law came to Cimei to visit with her relatives. Upon arrival, she was attracted by the Southern-Europe-like sky-blue sea and fascinating sea shore scenery of Penghu Islands, and began to dream of repairing some old houses here. Five years later, with the blessing of God, Cecilia and her husband Leon made their decision with one mind. They moved the entire family to Penghu and took over the Chenhaibay Homestay, and began to live their small-town life at a seashore farmstead.

Another family member, Anka Chen, deeply felt that the abundant and diversified beauty of Penghu seemed to be unseen by people. He noticed that the glorious magnificent scenery, the rich culture and the flourishing ocean ecology constitute the natural and profound beauty of Penghu, which is indeed not at all inferior to that of the sky-blue seashores that people used to think they have to take expensive trips abroad to find. He hopes that he can, with his enthusiasm and the specialty learned in school, do something for the future of tourism in Penghu and turn the beautiful Penghu into another vacation scenic spot where travelers would linger on without any thought of leaving.

The Chenhai Village, Baisha Township is located to the north of Magong. It is a small fishing village far away from big cities and with diverse ecology. Her tranquility can comfort those long-depressed souls from the city. The hostess was so shocked by this tranquility and believes that travelers will experience the same. In the Chenhai
Village there are still many traditional Fujian building. The residents here are simple and sweet. The streets are neat. The surrounding environment keeps its original pure and fresh natural flavor. There is a Chenhai Beach not far from our homestay. From there you can see at a distance the Penghu Aquarium and the Yuanbei Island.When the tide ebbs, a large extent of tidal flat will be exposed. There you can pick up spiral shells or catch crabs. This is perfect for the whole family to enjoy leisure time.



The hardware facilities of Chenhai Bay Homestay was construct under the supervision of its former hosts Yingying and Xiaoci. Outstanding Penghu craftsmen and designers were employed. Together they created this succinct, well-organized space. It had been well taken care of. Its original beauty remained. The former hosts show much reluctance when we negotiated to buy it. Thanks to the love of God, we were so lucky to have the opportunity to take over this beautiful house with all we needed in it. In the evening, from the windows of our homestay we can see a fast-changing picture formed by the sunset glow with the reflection from the silk trees. At night, looking up from the lawn or the balcony you can see the resplendent galaxy and starry sky. You will enjoy another kind of the beauty of the earth in silence. The three-story light- yellow building, with the Turkey-yellow walls surrounding its lobby and the beautiful tiles from Spain, makes the warm and generous Chenhai Bay Homestay unique among the many homestays in Penghu.

Cecilia suggests that travelers take a new way of touring in Penghu. Penghu is an island with abundant natural ecological resources and many distinguishing features.
